Immunizations

All Happy Paws guests must be up-to-date on Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations and have had a negative fecal within the previous 12 months. Your veterinarian can provide a copy of the vaccination records to bring with you when you check-in or you may email to us in advance of your cat's stay.

Vaccines must be administered 5 weeks prior to boarding and boosters must be administered a minimum of 1 week prior to boarding. This allows time for the vaccines to take hold and to make sure there are no side effects.

Some kitties are exempt from vaccines under special circumstances, ie: old age. We will honor your vet’s recommendation, but please provide documentation from your vet.

Medications

Routine topical ointments or oral medicine or supplements that are not life sustaining will be administered at no additional charge. Primarily this will involve medications that can be placed in either a pill pocket or wet food. 

 

We are not equipped to care for sick cats or administer injections or subcutaneous fluids at this time. We reserve the right to refuse any services for any cat at any time and for any reason and to refuse to accept a cat if, at check-in, it appears that such cat is sick or could jeopardize the health of other guests or our staff.

Cancellation Policy

We require a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your cat's stay.

After check-in, all nights booked must be paid even if you pick up your cat earlier than the scheduled check-out.

"Taxi-Cat" Service

While customers, especially new ones, are encouraged to bring their cat in person, Happy Paws will offer limited "taxi cat" services. Please contact us for availability and cost.

Disclaimer

Cats staying at Happy Paws receive every care and attention. Should any guest fall ill while in our care, we will attempt to contact you using the contact information you provided at check-in. We reserve the right to consult with a veterinarian and act upon his/her expert advice. All veterinary expenses will be incurred by the owner.
